Hi, I'm Summer.

I began my photography journey by hesitantly enrolling in my high school's yearbook program at the start of my freshman year. I knew nothing about cameras, editing, angles, and so on. From the first day of the class, I felt passion and drive to become very comfortable with the camera. I had a wonderful teacher who was able to guide me and lead me toward advancements in my skill level. I was at every school event: games, dances, assemblies, parades, student sections, theater performances, and so much more. I became "The Yearbook Girl" and engrained the phrase, "Pose for a quick picture!" into my vocabulary.

At the start of my junior year, I presented Summer Joy Photography to the world! I started out by offering free photoshoots to anyone who would accept them. Slowly but surely, I began building my portfolio and growing my client base. Eventually, I built relationships with loyal clients that I still work with today! I was presented with so many opportunities and met so many new people through the start of my business, and it has been wonderful!

I primarily shoot high school seniors, couples, and weddings!
